Ray-Ban #Campaign4Change Reveal Ambassadors

In the wake of Ray-Ban’s launch of #Campaign4Change, the brand has introduced the campaign’s ambassadors, a group of dynamic South Africans determined to change the world.

In a series of videos, these trailblazers have declared their ground-breaking plans and, in turn, are inspiring a rule-breaking spirit in all South Africans. But who are these pioneers and what is their revolutionary intent?

Nonku Phiri. Despite being a new kid on the block, Nonku Phiri is quickly becoming one of the most eagerly followed artists in the South African music industry. She has recorded notable collaborations with Jack Parrow, PH Fat and Crazy White Boy, but with a stellar debut single and growing popularity, Nonku is an emerging star in her own right.

Reason. In a time many consider to be the most competitive era in South African rap history, Reason has stood out as a game-changer. It is not only his remarkable talent that has earned him acclaim in the industry and a 2015 SAMA Award nomination for ‘Best Rap Album’, he is also praised for an authenticity that makes his music believable and his career one to watch closely

Didi. As a fashion student who has immersed himself in the local creative industry, Didi surrounds himself with local musicians and creatives that not only match his authentic Joburg outlook, but inspire him to constantly challenge his own ability. Didi is a well-connected cool kid that is part of the generation of South African youth that really believes in what the country has to offer, in elevating themselves and their peers, and in pushing the local culture on a global level.

Roxanne Robinson. Roxanne Robinson has become one of the fashion media aficionados to know. After growing up in picturesque Somerset West, Roxanne left her small town background for big city ambitions. Armed with a diploma in fashion design and dying to be submerged in the electric Joburg vibe, she moved to the City of Gold and has never looked back. In the pages of Sunday Times Fashion Weekly, Roxanne’s editorial passion comes alive and in the streets of Johannesburg, her thirst for inspiration is fed by
unhinged originality.

Jake Lipman. Jake Lipman’s passion for the South African electronic music scene is demonstrated by his refusal to stick to one profession: DJ, drummer, aspiring-producer, curator, connector, taste-maker – Jake is truly a man of many hats. Through his 10 years in
the industry, Jake’s original love for techno and house music spurred his pioneering of the hugely popular Cape Town Electronic Music Festival – now in its fourth year. Jake Lipman’s eclectic sets have become famous for his quirky and spontaneous sound, which continuously move festival troops and club crowds.

#Campaign4Change is run worldwide, encouraging individuals to join the “secret not so secret” Order of Never Hide by signing up on www.ray-ban.com. Sharing their #Campaign4Change enters them into a competition where fellow trailblazers and voyeurs alike can vote for the campaign they believe in.

The grand prize is a trip to New York in October where winners will be celebrated at an exclusive Ray-Ban party while their #Campaign4Change is projected in Times Square.
