You may not know it, but Nile Rodgers practically wrote the soundtrack to every drunken karaoke night and good session on the dance floor you’ve ever had.
But however famous the songs that he’s penned have become, his face is not necessarily that recognisable. Which is why, just like U2 a few weeks ago, when Rodgers decided that London’s South Bank would be a good place to bust out a few tunes yesterday the results are pretty funny.Rodgers tweeted that it was only when he started playing “dance music” that he attracted a 35-strong crowd.
His impromptu gig was part of an upcoming show called “Guitar Star” that’s reported to air in the UK soon. Watch the video below where he busts out ‘We Are Family’ and ‘I’m Coming Out’ amongst others.
