Alanis Morissette dropped by the Late Show with James Corden, channelling Steve Zissou in a red beanie, to perform an updated version of her hit single ‘Ironic’ for the millennials everywhere.
“It’s free office cake on the first day of your diet / It’s like they announce a new iPhone the day after you buy it,” they truthfully perform. Alanis even touched on why the heck there are no late night female talk show hosts. HELL YES!
But the best part is how they explain that there actually are no ironies at all in the song, because the meaning of ironic is totally different to how it’s interpreted in the video. Eish. Watch the video below.
