Noa Milan is an indie folk artist from Cape Town who has just released a new music video for her single ‘Tattoo’. The video was directed and edited by Jim Raubenheimer and showcases an intense set of emotions strengthened by the track’s bluesy folk melody and Milan’s impassioned vocal delivery.
The video uses dance and striking imagery related to love and the body to embroider upon the song’s lyrical content. This is made all the more powerful by the track’s slow melody, which makes use of stripped-down instrumentals to make it all the more heartrending.
Milan uses the track’s blues-inspired guitar accompaniment to her vocal advantage as this helps to highlight her raw, yet clear and honest singing on the track. Both the track and video keep things simple and minimalistic to keep the focus on Milan’s voice and its technically sound qualities. Watch the video below.
