With only a few days to go until the gates open and thousands of prawns descend upon the festival grounds in Northam, Oppikoppi has released the complete schedule of line-up times.
Thankfully there are no glaring clashes this year, but there are a few minor casualties that hopefully won’t be too much of a pain to choose between. Friday sees hard rock heavyweights The Narrow and psych rock newbies The Tazers play at the same time and while The Narrow has amassed an impressive and large fanbase over the years, The Tazers may suffer from a cross-over-audience epidemic.
On Saturday The Kiffness, Shortstraw and Nonku Phiri go head-to-head and while Nonku is bound to have a full house (courtesy of the Red Bull die hards that don’t move from their hillside spot all weekend), the choice between The Kiffness (who have been killing the game lately and are likely to go all out on the Main Stage) and Shortstraw (who are bound to premier new material) may prove difficult for some.
On Sunday Medicine Boy and Go Barefoot are the only two acts that you may find yourself a bit torn between but thankfully the walk between Skellum and James Phillips isn’t a crazy one – Nasty C’s also playing at that time but he’s unlikely to struggle thanks to his core following.
