Renowned guitarist Guy Buttery, bass extraordinaire Shane Cooper and multi-instrumental percussionist Ronan Skillen team up for a unique collaboration.
Guy Buttery is a musician who enjoys invitations from all over the globe with the USA, UK, Australia, France, Brazil, and Italy all welcoming him back year after year.
Shane Cooper’s debut album, “Oscillations”, won the 2014 SAMA for Best Jazz Album of the year the year after he received the highly prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist Award.
Ronan Skillen is inspired by the aesthetic of record label ECM, and music from Mali to Memphis and Mumbai. His flair for improvisation, and schooling in Indian classical music allow for a wide palette of textural percussive sounds combined with a rich soundscape. He’s toured with Rodriguez and Johnny Clegg, and performed with Manu Dibango among others.
The musical chemistry and energy these three artists produce together is nothing short of electrifying.
