Focalistic’s latest video release “Ke Star” is all about paying homage to his roots and in doing so is shot in his very own birthplace – Garankua.
The single, featuring Vigro Deep, went gold just three months after its release, which, for an emerging talent like Focalistic, is massive. It’s backed by an extreme energy, or “kasi” (hood) manner as Focalistic himself puts it, and it’s easy to see why this track is so hot.
Shot by Steezus, the visual carries a groovy swagger that at this point can only be expected by the breakout star, centring on scenes with various hulking dance crews, who, behind Focalistic, make this video all that it is – a celebration of where you come from, expressing that in every way possible. And as he steadies to release his upcoming EP Ase Trap Ke Pina Tsako Kasi 2, it’s clear to see that this rapper/hip-hop aficionado isn’t going anywhere for the time being. In fact, he’s just getting started.
