The online friendship that’s blossomed between ten-year-old viral sensation, Nandi Bushell, and rock ‘n’ roll icon, Dave Grohl, has been one of the best friendly battles to emerge from the shit show that is 2020.
Back in August, after the British-Zulu student uploaded her drum cover of Foo Fighter’s “Everlong” to her YouTube channel, the back-and-forth that ensued has not only been adorable to witness, but has also been entertaining as all hell.
Nandi’s latest upload is titled “Rock And Grohl”, a song that she’s written the frontman in response to the epic theme tune that he wrote for her, complete with his daughters on backing vocals.

“Mr Grohl,” says Bushell, and she’s so cute my ovaries are clapping sweet lawd, “The song you wrote for me was truly, truly epic! You really are legendary! I wrote a song for you to say thank you! I made up and played all the instrument parts myself, just like you! It’s called ‘Rock And Grohl, The Epic Battle!'”
