Malachi navigates his complicated relationship with love and lust on “Wicked Romance Vol 2”

Zimbabwean-born singer, Malachi, shows off his versatility on the slick new project impeccably produced by Elizée and Scott Aévin.

“Don’t Judge Me” is a gorgeous alternative R&B track that triggers memories of classic love-struck Drake. There are ambient psychedelic overtones that make for an ultimately intoxicating opening song.

The catchy pop trap banger, “Bad,” has the artist contemplating an ill-advised but irresistible relationship before slowing it down on the sensual and soulful Overdrive.

Malachi flexes his exquisite vocal control on the incredibly melodic love song “Turn You Up” while “You Thought (toxic-lude)” has the artist reflecting on the nuances of his complex love life over some sublime strings.

The project ends with the giant “We Move (Remix)” featuring Kwesta and DJ Capital which comes accompanied with a video. The video sees Malachi surrounded by gorgeous women in a club before eventually joining Kwesta in his car to watch him execute an incredible guest verse. DJ Capital pops on the screen for a brief moment too.

Malachi combines elements of R&B, soulful trap, and pop to take us on a journey of lust and pain that comes with a blasé approach to relationships.
