Nkosi X flexes authenticity and a smooth soulful flow in his latest album, SYNC

These days Nkosi X has steadily-growing discography to his name, and his latest project, SYNC, is a captivating neo-soul like exploration of vulnerability and introspection.

He speaks on love, lust, and the complexity of sentiment – gorgeously singing his heart out throughout. There is a classic R&B feel to the album that triggers memories of the soulful early 2000’s, evident in tracks like “2 Degrees” and “Let it Go,” where Nkosi immaculately showcases the range of his vocals in a few raw displays of emotion.

Passionate slow jam love songs like “Take It” sit in polarity with the delicately catchy and upbeat “Alright” – while “I Cry” is another standout on the project: a reflective melancholic piece on fighting demons and facing the darkness.

SYNC is a good display of Nkosi’s wide skillset and the influences he holds. He is an exquisite vocalist with a smooth flow entirely genuine in his approach.
