The world seems to be healing as pop-punk is making a comeback and best of all, Avril Lavigne is back with her brand new single “Bite Me”.
The song is her first track since 2019 and also the first since the pop-punk queen signed to Travis Barker’s label, DTA Records.
The music video will have your inner scene-kid emerge once again while also shouting the lyrics at the top of your lungs at your past lovers. You will definitely want Lavigne, Barker and the men rocking tutus and weapons to be part of your crew to get the message across to the one who has wronged you.
“It’s a song about self-worth and standing up for yourself and just being like ‘You didn’t treat me right. You didn’t treat me well, and that doesn’t work for me….so baby, you can bite me,'” Lavigne told Kevan Kenney on Alt 92.3.
Lavigne also confirmed in February that her seventh album was “done”. She told Kenney the majority of the album is fast and in your face.
What the title of the album is or its release date still needs to be confirmed, but we cannot wait anymore.
