Watch Foo Fighters perform “Haven’t Met You Yet” with Michael Bublé

Foo Fighters have been all over the festival circuit these last few months and to introduce their new drummer Josh Freese, Dave Grohl has gone one to dedicate a portion of the band’s show to run through some of Freese’s glorious work in other bands.

During Foo’ headline set at Outside Lands this month, Grohl called up a  Michael Bublé “super fan” who held a sign that read, “I <3 Bublé.” Why? Because Freese worked with Bublé and because Grohl is unfamiliar with the lyrics to “Haven’t Met You Yet”, and he recently started welcoming fans to sing the songs on stage.

But turns out this super fan was Mr Bublé himself. “This motherfucker better know the song,” Grohl joked. Later, Grohl did let fans in on the joke. “We’ve been doing that thing where people from the audience come up and say ‘I know that fucking song,’ and they walk up and they know the first verse, they don’t know it,” Grohl said.

“So this bad ass motherfucker — and I’m not even kidding — flew in today from Argentina to fucking sing that song to you guys. Because there’s no such thing as taking a joke too far.”
