Cape Town’s most iconic live music series is back, and the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are serving a line-up that hot enough to match than the Mother City sun. From 23 November 2025 through to March 2026, the botanical gardens will once again transform into the city’s favourite open-air stage, set against the epic backdrop of Table Mountain. Expect everything from Afro-soul and desert blues to pop, indie-folk, house beats and full orchestras in a season stacked with legends, global stars and fresh talent.
Highlights include Mi Casa opening the season, Prime Circle & Jesse Clegg’s rock showcase, Karen Zoid & Francois van Coke celebrating their smash duet, and Bongeziwe Mabandla teaming up with Matthew Field. Mango Groove and The Billy Joel Experience take New Year’s Eve by storm, Goldfish return in January, and the season closes with heavyweights like Msaki & The ALT BLK Collective, Jeremy Loops, Thandiswa Mazwai, and Matthew Mole.
Tickets are limited, at R360 for adults, R225 for youth, and kids under 5 free, with New Year’s Eve priced at R540. Available only via Webtickets or the Kirstenbosch Ticket Office, these non-smoking, picnic-friendly gigs are a Cape Town tradition that just screams “it’s summer!”. Bring your own drinks, grab a blanket, and get ready to stomp, sway, and sing along under summer skies.
