South Africa’s longest-running music festival is turning 35, and the Drakensberg is calling. From 2–6 April 2026, Splashy Fen will transform its rolling hills into a playground for music lovers.
Following a sold-out 2025 edition, the festival promises its biggest year yet in honour of its incredible milestone with six stages, over 300 artists (including internationals), and the same community spirit that’s kept generations of fans coming back since 1990.
Keen Fenners should move fast if you want to join the jol. Otter Club members (those who joined the party in 2025, that’s you) already have early-bird access to the lowest-priced tickets until 5 October. After that, Phase 1 tickets open to the rest of the public, and let’s be real – they won’t last long.
Beyond the incredible four days of music, Splashy Fen 2026 is dialling up the festival experience. Expect food trucks, artisan markets, yoga sessions, art workshops, trail runs, and more showers (hallelujah). Families are welcome, campsites are varied — from riverside to glamping luxury — and yes, you can park right next to your tent. This Easter weekend escape is set to be unforgettable.
