MONO release video for single ‘Breathe’

Over the years, Japan has churned out its fair share of talented bands in both the rock and metal genre. Tokyo-based four-piece instrumental rock band MONO are a part of that gifted bunch.

Having formed in 1999, the band gained momentum in the scene with their unique approach of combining moving orchestral arrangements and a romantic shoegaze guitar noise.

This year the band welcomed a new drummer to the fold and began a new journey after they were invited to London’s Meltdown Festival as one of the headliners – personally requested by one Robert Smith, this year’s festival curator.

MONO also recently completed recording their tenth album “Nowhere Now Here”, which is scheduled to be released worldwide on January the 25th, 2019, to coincide with their upcoming twentieth anniversary.

Just for you, we have a preview of MONO’s new single ‘Breathe’ taken from their soon-to-be-released album. This beautifully hazy, serenade-like piece is definitely worth your time today.
