Born in Joburg is Johannesburg’s newest addition to the food market scene. This food truck focused market launches on Friday, 26 November (4pm – 9pm) and Saturday, 27 November (10am – 3pm) at BlackBrick Club in Sandton.
The market aims to be a family-focused event targeting anybody and everyone, from young families, to teenagers and adults. Market-goers can choose whether to attend on the Friday evening and dine under Sandton skyline or grab brunch at the Saturday morning trade. There will be a line-up of eight of Jozi’s most loved food trucks, live DJs, kiddies activities, E-scooter tours, a craft bar, and a secret rooftop experience.

The stellar line-up of food trucks will have you drooling and spoilt for choice, with street food by Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream, Tjips Co, Killer Coffee, Napz Autentica Pizza Napoletana, The Wing Republic, Lumamonate, and Wine Tap in attendance.
Born In Joburg have also partnered with local illustrator Qondile Dlamini, better known as @qew_doodles, who will be printing some limited edition merchandise available to purchase at the market.
On the music front, there will be a curated line-up of local selectors such as Diddy Q, Bon Bon Vie and Housecatz to name a few.
Guests can also make use of the E-scooter tour experience with a $5 discount on all scooter rides purchased on the market days, thanks to the Honest Travel Experience.
Tickets are available via Quicket, and can be purchased at the entrance on Fredman Drive, Sandton at R30 per adult, while admission for kids under 12 years old is free.
COVID-19 restrictions will be adhered to, and there will be a check-in process at the entrance.
