Witchdoctor Productions Announce Darkest Hour Venue Change

Yesterday Witchdoctor Productions issued a statement announcing the venue change of Darkest Hour from Mercury to The Assembly, but what proceeded that statement was quite distressing.

They allege that after a fan jumped onto the stage and was swiftly removed, he was then subjected to physical assault from two of the venue’s current owners who wanted him removed.

They also allege that after the fan, his girlfriend and a member of his band were thrown out of the venue and into the street, one of the owners continued to verbally insult them. However, when one person pulled out their phone to try and film him, he ran into the doorway of the venue.

Shaughn Pieterse, owner of Witchdoctor productions commented: Never do we throw out, hit or abuse someone coming to a concert. There is just no way something like is ever acceptable or should be allowed. Just because you buy a club, you do NOT get the right to get physical, restrain, HIT or assault people.”

TATC’s photographer, who was taking photos at the event, said she saw the fan get pulled off stage and she was by the door a few mins later when they dragged him out. “It all happened very fast but it did look really rough,” she commented.
