Medicine Boy announce that they’re splitting and playing their last gig at Endless Daze

To say that this announcement comes as a bit of a shock is probably the understatement of the year.

But in an Instagram post this morning Berlin-based duo, Medicine Boy, announced that they would be going their separate ways and that they would play their last gig at Endless Daze in November. This comes off the back of the dream noise duo’s latest video release for “A Mirror”.

I never thought that when I interviewed Andre Leo for the first time last year, that their combined musical journey would end so abruptly. Sure, every partnership has its ups and downs, but this one seemed as though it would stand the test of time.

But then again, with a new album due for release in 2020, maybe it’s just the end for now. We’ll forever live in hope.

. Dear friends . It is with hearts overflowing with feeling that we announce the end of the noisy dream that is Medicine Boy. . Seven years of unforgiving dedication to the music has allowed us experiences we couldn’t have imagined for ourselves. Some of the best times of our lives, without a doubt. . However, such a fierce commitment has caused our lives to become entwined in a way that is no longer allowing us to grow as individuals. It is difficult to let go of something that you love and have been with for a long time but change is healthy and at times essential. . The decision came somewhat suddenly and at a time we feel the band is sounding better than ever but both of us want to be brave and trust our instinct. To remember what is important and to remain open. . We feel it is fitting to end it all off on a loving, celebratory note with the rest of the shows for 2019 and a new album in 2020. . Our final performances will be in Berlin on the 17th of October and in Cape Town at Endless Daze on the 2nd of November. .
