GIDA’s Women’s Month Edition will celebrate the femme voices defining electronic music in South Africa

Where there are women, there is music. That’s the motto of GIDA‘s upcoming Women’s Day Edition taking place at Club Paradise this Saturday, and we seriously cannot wait for the second instalment of this party.

They erupted onto the scene only two months ago, back in May, with a truly memorable debut that we’re still talking about. It was a night of Gqom-inspired electronica, but more so, there was a real sense of community amongst everyone on the dance floor. Like we were witnessing the birth of something special; a new movement for Cape Town’s budding club scene.

They now return for a second night celebrating the femme voices who are pioneering South Africa’s electronic sound. Sonic architects, cultural documentarians, these selectors form the beating
heart of Cape Town’s underground scene, and will each bring their own revolutionary approach to the
decks.

Lelowhatsgood will headline, founder of Vogue Nights Jozi, followed by Ayli, Damage (Chaos Reigns), Nsimbii, DJ Abu and Eurydice founders Soulchoke and Songo Ananda going B2B to close out the night.

Except more Gqom, more rave, and a whole lot more power. This one’s going to be good, trust us.
