Big Head vs Caroline

So yesterday I let you know about Taxi Violence and The Plastics’ double music video launch at Zula on Friday and today, I thought I’d give you a little more info on what you can expect from each of them.

Too adorable for words

Let’s start with The Plastics. The name of their single is ‘Caroline’, the second one off their album ‘Shark’. Shot by Thomas Ferreira in Karl Rohloff’s (bass) house, the actual song has a completely different tempo and mood to their first single ‘Caves’.

Commenting on the tune and the video, The Plastics confessed that, “The softer songs are always a bit more difficult to put together than the party ones because they rely more on the dynamics and the touch of the band carrying them.  So ‘Caroline’ was definitely a major step forward for us. Our previous videos have always been for the more upbeat songs, so we wanted to release something different for a change.” Sounds like fun.

Now a while ago Taxi Violence released this teaser trailer for second single ‘A Long Way From Home’ featuring the star of their album cover – Big Head.

I’ve been assured that Big Head will be at the event on Friday for his big screen debut and I know from past experience that he’s lank quiet, but super friendly. Or so say my drunken photos with him at their launch.

Bottom line? If I don’t see you at Zula on Friday, you’re a doos. Click here for a chance to win tickets to the event and both bands’ kickass CDs.
