Okay so I’m a little late with my regular post this month, but last Tuesday was a killer…
Tuesday On Fire’s first birthday (which I actually forgot, but that’s another story entirely) left me a tad broken and it took me a few days to recover, but I’m guns a blazin’ now.
Now this month – my birthday month – is shaping up to be a pretty sexxy one indeed with Ray Ban at &Union, and we’ll be winding down 2012 with some great up-and-comers you’re not going to want to miss.
Black Market Riots quietly killed last week – and what a great bunch of guys to boot. I had such a blast with Danie and Pierre on Assembly Radio talking kak. I’d have those dudes back aaany time.
Tomorrow singer-songwriter Dave Knowles takes the stage, followed by Hotel Iris on the 20th and Nuka & The Fire on the 27th. It’s a real cross-section of bands from completely different genres this month, but fresh is how I like to keep these events.
Never heard of these bands/acts? Well, if you’ve never been to a #TuesOnFire, that is kinda the point. So come along and lend an ear. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Don’t forget to checkout Assembly Radio between 2pm and 4pm every Tuesday where you’ll get be able to get to know the acts that play on a Tuesday a little as they join me in studio.
And if you did attend any of last month’s gig, check out Laura McCullagh’s (resident #TuesOnFire photographer) galleries of all October’s gigs below. I bet she cheekily snapped you. She’s a ninja like that.
#TuesOnFire
DO IT.
