I’m a huge fan of Mondays but I know that most of you out there are not, so I thought I’d make the start of the first week of February a little more bearable with a little giveaway.
This year’s Cape Town Electronic Music Festival proudly reopens it window onto the ever-growing world of South Africa’s electronic music scene.
This event is a testament to how much the electronic music scene has grown and developed in SA. This year they reach back to the roots of how it all started, and discover what continues to inspire – who has progressed, which global artists shape trends in SA and more importantly, which local artists shape trends globally.
This year the event opens its doors to Richie Hawtin – the event’s first ever international guest. As one of the initial role players in the global techno movement in early ‘90s, Hawtin has continued to be a driving force both on and off stage, he’s also the current #2 Artist on Resident Advisor’s 2012 DJ poll. #1 was that Seth Troxler dude that was here, remember him?
