Welcome back live music with Dangerfields, Smokey Mercle & Urban Village at Sognage on the 9th of July at Sognage in Joburg. Three performances, one night. Brought to you by the world’s number one bourbon. Early bird tickets will be available for R50 until the 20th of June (Monday), thereafter general admission tickets will be R100.
Dangerfields are a post-punk band from Cape Town who have a reputation for putting on live performances that take their listeners on a journey that is at times up-beat and noisy, and at other times slow and introspective, but always atmospheric and evocative.
Making their Jim Beam Welcome Sessions debut, Smokey Mercle is a gritty, loud and energetic four-piece band from Pretoria who play psychedelic rock and heavy garage tunes for your listening pleasure.
Rounding off this line-up is Urban Village, a group of young experiential artists from Soweto who make a blend of folk music, Zulu rock, Xhosa funk, mbaqanga and maskandi, and are an absolute treat to see in all their onstage glory.
