Young Jonn drops Johannesburg-shot video for “2Factor” with Asake and Focalistic

Nigerian Afropop star Young Jonn has released the official music video for “2Factor”, his high-energy collaboration with Asake and Focalistic, bringing the track’s cross-continental chemistry to life in the streets of Johannesburg. Shot in the City of Gold, the visual leans into late-night movement and celebration, grounding the global record in a distinctly South African setting. Mzanzi fo sho!

Taken from Young Jonn’s album Blue Disco, “2Factor” has been steadily gaining traction since its release in November 2025, racking up over 208 million streams and charting across platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and Shazam. The video arrives shortly after a standout live moment at Johannesburg’s Gold Rush Dome, where the trio performed the track together for the first time, alongside fan favourite “Che Che”.

Speaking on the collaboration, Young Jonn highlighted the ongoing exchange between the two scenes: “Nigerian and South African collaborations are not a new thing… it’s culture. Us being able to work amongst ourselves really shows how important winning together is for us.”

Directed by local filmmaker Larnelle Bakala, the video plays on the idea of “two-factor authentication” as a metaphor for switching off and stepping into the night, capturing a shared energy that continues to define African pop right now.
