American rock heavyweights +LIVE+ are set to make their long-awaited return to South Africa this December, bringing their iconic catalogue and electrifying live show back to local stages for the first time in almost a decade. Known for defining hits like “Lightning Crashes”, “I Alone” and “All Over You”, the band will bring their catalogue back to local stages for performances in Cape Town and Pretoria.
The tour will see +LIVE+ perform at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden on 8 December, followed by a show at the SunBet Arena on 11 December. The Pretoria date carries added significance, as the band were the first to perform at the venue when it opened, making this return something of a full-circle moment. Meanwhile, the Cape Town show will mark their first time performing at Kirstenbosch, placing the band’s live set against one of the city’s most iconic outdoor backdrops.
“South Africa has a very special place in my heart” says +LIVE+ lead singer Ed Kowalczyk, “and the thought of coming back to play for our fans brings me great joy. I can’t wait!”
With limited-capacity venues and a long gap since their last visit, demand is expected to be high when tickets go on sale via Webtickets from 24 April, following a pre-sale on 23 April. Tickets for Cape Town can be found here, and Pretoria here.
