After having a chat with “Last Train to Nashville” creators Rob and Ryan last week, I’m unusually excited about an event that, if it takes off, could become a staple event on our gigging calender – like a Homegrown. Or a Rub-a-Dub.
Last Train to Nashville is basically a series of 5 planned monthly events that will kick off on the 1st of October at The Harley Davidson Club with a Johnny Cash tribute. Confirmed bands include Taxi Violence, Long Time Citizen and Six Gun Gospel who’ll be churning out the JC covers all night.
There’s also talk of one or two guest artists, so you can be sure that I’ll be keeping you up-to-date with all the details on that. And lets be honest here, who doesn’t love Johnny Cash? The prospect of a sing-a-long is just too sweet. I’ll be wearing head-to-toe black and rocking a whiskey (what’s new really?) just for the occasion
