Afro-fusion rapper Moza ‘Frique has dropped the accompanying visuals for his steamy single “Come Thru” off his latest EP 2 Minds of Mambo.
His music videos have enjoyed rotation on TV channels since the beginning of his career in 2018 featuring on the likes of Trace Africa and Channel O.
Moza ‘Frique has gone “Mr Worldwide” in his latest music video which was shot in Amsterdam and Johannesburg and features international talents including Amsterdam-based model Sarah Dajanti and vocals by US-based Briana Marin – who does not actually feature in the three and half minute edit.
Directed by Njabulo Mahlangu (South Africa) and Rosa Imani (Netherlands), and produced by Damscoalitie, the video suits “Come Thru”’s sultry narrative of a lovesick couple in separate locations yearning for each other’s company. Video chat comes to the rescue.
While the song is catchy, the lacklustre visuals battle to hold interest. However, the story’s relevance to what many couples are going through, whether they’re in long-distance relationships or quarantined in separate locations, just managed to carry the piece home.
