Lost Frequencies’ new single “Where Are You Now” is a fine-tuned electro-pop banger that you need to add to your party playlist

Lost Frequencies (aka Felix De Laet) has steadily and silently been racking up hit after hit since the release of his smash debut “Are You With Me” in 2004.

Over the last seven years he’s enjoyed his fair share of platinum singles, festival line-ups, dance music accolades and high profile collaborations (think the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, James Blunt, and Major Lazer) – heck, he even scored the title most booked festival artist of 2019, before you-know-what went down.

The release of comeback of sorts single “Rise”, in early 2021, saw him pretty much cannonball to new heights thought. An apt name for a pivotal track. The Belgian musician and producer now stands pretty at the forefront of the global electronic scene – and with festivals opening up again, he’s been enjoying some pretty lush crowds too.

He’s just teamed up with singer-songwriter and Britain’s Got Talent vet Calum Scott for a powerhouse banger, and “Where Are You Now” that can succinctly be described as a sad song bred to make you dance.

A sweeping, fine-tuned melody opens the track, replete in a buoyant simplicity which elevates as much as it tempers it. Then a raw, rising electronic build peaks before dropping into a driving, pillowy beat – while Scott croons a line over the dense bass line you’re not going to get out of your head anytime soon.

With this single, Lost Frequencies is anything but. Instead he’s driving a cold hard trajectory right back up to the top.
