Jim Beam is bringing us together. The merging of artists, venues, and music lovers. The feeling of being a part of the SA music scene with the launch of their Jim Beam Welcome Sessions. The Welcome Sessions are all about creating connections between amazing acts, some you wouldn’t ordinarily expect to feature together. It’s a demonstration of their shared love for the music and the local scene to remind fans of the essence of live music, that welcoming spirit – something they’ve been missing over these long months.
Welcome back live music with Morena Leraba and Lo-Ghost on the 26th of March at Aandklas in Stellenbosch. Two performances, one night. Brought to you by the world’s number one bourbon.
Morena Leraba spearheads a sound fresh out of Lesotho, and with his feet firmly planted in his homeland, he’s bringing the spotlight home. With a bevy of collaborations under his belt, and a steady rise since 2015, Leraba spins Afro-folk and electronic nuance into his captivating live show.
Lo Ghost is an alt-pop duo fresh out of Cape Town and bred for the unconventional dancefloor. Between Shannon Devy’s rich, roof-raising vocals and Evan Strauss’s deft production they pack a measured punch. Theirs is a nocturnal sound, pushing the envelope as much as it is forging a new alt-pop path ahead.
